Windy Clowbridge Trail Run - 6 miles
You've gotta be really unlucky to be on a circular run and have the wind in your face the entire way round. Today was not a lucky day with unpleasant gales making running and biking tough going.
And with severe weather warnings for Monday and Tuesday forecasting severe, property damaging gales of up to 80mph, things are going to get worse before they get better.
Danny what route did you take on this run? I regularly run at Clowbridge. I have 6 or 7 route from 3.8miles to 9 miles. Let me know next time you are thinking of going for a trot on a saturday or sunday and i would love to join you.(you may have to slow the pace down a bit though) Kevin (Alix's Dad)
All about fell running, based in Lancashire in the North West of England. To the East of the county is the rural Ribble Valley. To the West is the Irish Sea.
There is only one mountain (peaks over 610m) in Lancashire, namely Gragareth at 627m with its summit point lying just outside of the Yorkshire Dales.
However, there are many other sizeable hills in Lancashire including, Pendle Hill, Winter Hill and Rivington Pike.
